Las Teresitas beach view from San Andres village. Although traditionally a fishing village, tourism was also introduced in San Andres since the amelioration in the infrastructure of Las Teresitas. Originally a dark volcanic beach, four million bags of sand were brought from Sahara to give this beach the golden appearance it now has.

View of Las Teresitas beach. This is the closest beach to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Therefore it has become the locals first choice to spend the summer holidays. The waves are still and it has fine golden sand. Advantages: Very safe for children. Disadvantages: It may be quite crowded during the months of July and August.
