What we call ‘Tenerife South’ is not exactly the geographical South. Due to the diagonal mountains that splits Tenerife in two halves, the clouds usually cannot go through, providing two very different micro climates. Tenerife South refers then to the sunny part, where temperatures are much higher.

City view of Candelaria in the southeast of Tenerife. Candelaria is famous for being a pilgrimage point. People from all around the island come every year to see the Virgin Mary of Candelaria, patron of Tenerife. This camera can be orientated at will.
