Las Teresitas beach view from San Andres village. Although traditionally a fishing village, tourism was also introduced in San Andres since the amelioration in the infrastructure of Las Teresitas. Originally a dark volcanic beach, four million bags of sand were brought from Sahara to give this beach the golden appearance it now has.

Tazacorte is known for its beautiful beaches. Tazacorte beach is 50 metres long and 10 metres wide. It has fine volcanic sand and calm waters. Eating fish in one of its seafood restaurants is a must.
